Question: Feng shui colour red?

I am buying a sofa it has cushions with red patterning, feng shui advises you not to buy red sofas, does this include red patterns on the sofa cushions?

In fengshui, location is more important; color is insignificant. this means that the main door (where energy enters), kitchen (which attracts your wealth), and bedroom (which attracts good health) must be located in a space in your house with good energy (good, based on flying stars method or any other fengshui methods). when your rooms, where you live most are located correctly, then the color and the style of how you decorate your rooms do not matter, because you will enjoy the good energy that are present in the rooms. but if your rooms are located in spaces with bad energy, then accidents will happen.

In feng shui color decorating red always signifies richness and luxury. If used too much, though, it can bring restlessness, bursts of anger and over stimulation. Better use it with caution, always easier to bring red color in your decor with details and accessories, rather than with furnishings or wall color.

In my feng shui studies, I have never come across advice cautioning against red sofas. Instead, I would check to see if a red sofa is appropriate in regards to the bagua location.
